Paris Activities

Going to Paris is a lovely vacation. The city is beautiful and luxurious. You’ll find a lot of magical history in the midst. If you’d like to learn about the French military, then Les Invalides is the place to see it. The pantheon mausoleum holds the famous Victor Hugo, Rosseau, Voltaire, Emile Zola, and Marie Curie. It’s quite the history lesson. At the Pere Lachaise Cemetery, Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde graves are there. Maybe you like art, then head to the impressionist Musee d’Orsay or the contemporary Centre Pompidou instead. It will be difficult to see everything within a few days, so try to prioritize the most important things you’d really like to see during your vacation time to make it a very memorable trip. The top of the Eiffel Tower has a big hype to it, but according to many travelers, it’s overpriced and not as worth it as you think. You can actually view the entire city from on top of the Tour Montparnasse, and be able to see the Eiffel Tower from it. The Montmartre has a free skyline too.

Ask the locals what the best activities are to do, and maybe you’ll find something incredible that you didn’t even have on your list. If you’re a history buff then you will definitely want to visit Versailles. It will have long lines to get into the palace, as well as be expensive but it is really breathtaking. Make sure to budget well; you can spend a whole day getting lost in the Louvre. You’ll see Mona and Venus, but don’t forget to see the lavish Napoleon III Apartments; it’s a very big place with a lot of magnificent things to see. The tiny Musee de l’Orangerie in the southwest corner of the park is the permanent home for a handful of works by Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, Chaim Soutine, and the piece de resistance, eight panels of Monet’s Water Lilies. You can visit the garden for lunch; it’s a beautiful place to walk through and sit. Enjoy the views.
