A Holiday in Paris

Tour of the Eiffel tower

Paris is undeniably magical, especially during the holidays. In this exquisite City of Light’s, you will get to experience a blend of haute culture fashion, old-world charm, and Gothic architecture. You will enjoy high-end shopping, popular hangouts such as Le Marais and the Tuileries, and al-fresco dining. Just don’t forget about visiting the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and Luxembourg Palace. During the holidays is the most magical time in this city; Paris is just bursting at the seams with festive offerings for its visitors: a giant ferris wheel, merry-go-round rides, ice skating, and skiing. Most of these activities will be free during the holiday season too. If you have kids with you, their eyes will just light up with the beauty of it all. The entire family will be able to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Paris as you visit one venue to the next. The giant ferris wheel is at the Place de la Concorde. You will get to see the cities beautiful lights that are more magical then you’ve ever seen.

At the Cathedral of Notre Dame, you will see a giant Christmas tree up until the beginning of February. There will even be circus acts going on over there, as well as workshops for you or your kids to learn something really fantastic. Ice skating is a must at the Paris City Hall or Hotel de Ville. It’s free to get in, but if you don’t have ice skates, then you will need to rent them there for 5 Euros. Totally worth it! This is available December 17th-February 27th. At the Grands Magasins, you will see spectacular window displays of mechanical dancing dolls and bears. On December 19th-January 2nd there are free merry-go-round rides for all ages. There is an exhibition of ice sculptures on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees where 20 or more artists have sculpted more than 450 tons of ice into grand sculptures, monuments, buildings, historical figures, and imaginary scenes and creatures. One really fun place for everyone is Sleeping Beauty’s Castle as Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte. It’s at the end of the year displaying a snowy forest full of animals, magical creatures, fairy lights, and a sparkling garden. Enjoy the city of love and light.
