Climb the butte or hill of Montmartre, starting at its base where the Moulin Rouge’s windmill still spins slowly and where its girls still kick high each night. This small group tour winds up the hill and its cobbled streets. Discover the houses of artists like Van Gogh and Picasso who called Montmartre home. Let us introduce you to France’s disco queen Dalida and the artists who still sell their wares on the square.  At the top of the hill, you can enter the gleaming white basilica of Sacré Coeur before taking in breathtaking view of Paris from one of the city’s highest vantage points. Cinema buffs and fans of the film Amélie will feel extra giddy this district, where much of the movie was filmed. You also have the option of taking an evening tour to catch a sunset over the city if you’re lucky (depending on the season).

Our guide Ljiljana was very knowledgeable, professional, and fun to be with. This tour was the highlight of our visit, and Babylon tours took very good care of us.

We had Alex as our guide, he was amazing: knowledgable, enthusiastic, courteous, and super friendly. We learned so much and had fun doing it. Small group (4 people) made for an intimate experience, I'd book a tour with Babylon and Alex again in a heartbeat.

Our guide Viotette did an amazing job explaining the history and context of the cathedral and surrounding areas of Paris. She was funny, articulate and also happens to have a PhD in art history, all of which combined for an enlightening and immersive tour. It is incredible how much information she packed into a few hours!

There was only two of us on tour so we had a great experience. Highly recommend tour.

I booked the walking tour of Monmarte and Lily was our guide. She was extremely warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. She showed us all around the village while sharing a lot of facts about the history of the area. I took many tours while in Paris and I feel like this was the most informative one. Due to it being the low season, there were only 5 people on the tour! It worked out well because we moved around quickly and could hear everything easily.
