Highlights of the tour

Highlights generally include:

• Pablo Picasso & Salvador Dalí, Experience how Picasso's The Three Dancers and Dalís Narcissus and capture the turmoil of their time in radically different ways.

• Marcel Duchamp – Fountain (1917, replica 1964), A provocative challenge to traditional art, Duchamp's readymade urinal redefined artistic expression.

• Mark Rothko – Seagram Murals (1958–1959), Rothko's deep reds and blacks create an immersive, almost spiritual experience. Originally commissioned for a New York restaurant, these brooding canvases are now housed in a space designed for quiet contemplation.

• Andy Warhol – Marilyn Diptych (1962), Warhol's silkscreen portrait of Marilyn Monroe repeats her image in vivid color and ghostly black and white, reflecting the fleeting nature of fame and the commercialization of celebrity culture.

• Piet Mondrian – Composition with Yellow, Blue and Red (1937–42), A defining work of geometric abstraction, Mondrian's precise arrangement of primary colors and black lines represents his vision of universal harmony.

Discover the Tate Modern, London's premier museum of contemporary and modern art, home to a world-class collection that spans the revolutionary movements of the 20th century.

From Marcel Duchamp's era-defining Fountain to the pop icons of Andy Warhol, this private tour explores the boldest artistic innovations of the modern era. Housed in a former power station, the Tate Modern's industrial architecture is as striking as the works it contains. The vast Turbine Hall, once home to towering generators, now hosts large-scale installations that redefine the boundaries of art. Discuss the Spanish Civil war before works by Picasso and Dalí, before experiencing the abstract expressionism of Rothko's Seagram Murals and Jackson Pollock's drip paintings. Step into the hypnotic world of Yayoi Kusama's infinity installations, where mirrored surfaces and endless reflections blur the line between reality and illusion.nnLed by an expert guide, this tour traces the artistic breakthroughs that shaped the modern world. From political upheaval to personal expression, these works reveal the evolving role of art in society. Whether you're drawn to the soothing impressionism of Monet or the postmodern chaos of Cildo Meireles' Babel—a towering installation of radios broadcasting in multiple languages—the Tate Modern delivers an unforgettable encounter with the icons of modern art.
